USS Sacramento AOE-1 replenishes USS Bon Homme Richard CVA-31 while underway in the South China Sea, June 1967. Sacramento had a long career from 1964 to 2004, the idea behind the Fast Combat Support Ship (AOE) was from Admiral Arleigh Burke due to logistics problems in WWII.
